The Bay City Marina at New Port was originally founded in 2008 by Mia Linden as the New Port Yacht Sales Tenant Group so early Second Life creators could have a space to display and sell watercraft. Over time it evolved into the Bay City Yacht Club, a place where residents could keep personal boats. What made this Linden-owned group truly unique is that Residents were chosen to run the day-to-day operations on the company-owned land.
This special relationship continues today as the Yacht Club becomes the Marina on June 14, 2016. With a renewed focus on Residents in the community of Bay City, the Marina will continue to be a highlight of Second Life’s boating family.
